The story behind my new pictures

The warmth of summer days always brings out the adventurer in me.

A desire to create new experiences.

Explore the beauty of the world around me.

And connect with my own sensuality.

That’s why, when my London photographer’s newsletter dropped in my inbox stating he’d be shooting in Tuscany this year, I just knew I had to book on the shoot.

Not only would this shoot take me to Tuscany, a place that captured my heart over a decade ago, but I’d also have the opportunity to shoot with a vintage Alfa Romeo!

In today’s blog, I am excited to announce that my new photoshoot has been added to my gallery for you to explore at your own leisure.

Arriving At The Villa

For the first part of my Tuscany trip, I stayed with my photographer at his villa just outside of Siena, allowing us to easily travel to the different locations we would be shooting, with his makeup artist joining so that I could get glammed up before we left.

The area the villa was located in is the perfect blend of beautiful, old Italian architecture and calming countryside landscapes, a calm oasis to catch up the evening before our first day shooting and discuss our plans for the photoshoots.

After a day travelling and knowing we had an early start, I opted for an early night. Hyped for the next day, I allowed myself to slip off into sleep, ready for the next morning.

Capturing The Natural Beauty Around

The first morning we had an early start to shoot at some thermal springs. Then that evening, we drove along a tree-lined road where the vintage car used was located. This was made even more exciting because not only did I get my photos taken with a stunning car, but it was the setting for a famous scene from one of my favourite films, Gladiator.

The following day, the streets of a hilltop village and the remaining scenes in lingerie were shot at the villa.

A natural adventurer, I love to take every opportunity to try new things and explore new places; this shoot was a way of showcasing two of my passions: my love of Italia and vintage cars. And of course, showing just how good I look in luxurious lingerie complemented by Louboutins.

Location One: The Thermal Springs

Our first location was the natural thermal springs in the Tuscan countryside. A beautiful scene for the start of a beautiful shoot!

Harnessing my inner goddess, I opted to choose two outfits in white.

For my first look, I wore a sheer lace white dress by Holland Copper; it was the perfect combination of breathable but fitted, creating an elegant silhouette that was sophisticated while also offering a flirtation of playfulness as the lace offered glimpses of what I was wearing underneath.

After this, I unwrapped myself for my bikini shots. As the sun caressed my porcelain skin, the bikini was a great choice to show off my curves and cool down in the surrounding water.

Location Two: The Vintage Car

Alongside my love of Tuscany (and excitement to work with my favourite photographer again), the biggest draw of this photoshoot was the opportunity to shoot with a vintage Alfa Romeo.

The icing on top of an already amazing experience!

As a vintage car buff, some of my favourite experiences are attending race meetings, walking among the beautiful cars and seeing them in action. For this scene, I needed an outfit that would allow me to stand out against the cream colour of the car, while creating an elegant silhouette to match the car’s timeless exterior.

I adore tweed two-pieces, whether it’s country style in autumn or pastels in the spring/summer.   I brought one of my favourite vintage tweed outfits out to play, complemented by a pair of pale pink leather driving gloves. I purchased these from a stall at a vintage car race meeting at Donington, and of course a pair of my trademark Louboutins in white.

Location Three: The Hilltop Village

As a lover of history and architecture, I adored the hilltop village we visited to start the second day’s shoots. As the buildings rose around me, the cobbled stones of the narrow winding streets begged for me to strut down them in my open-toed heels.

To wander the streets of this hilltop village, I wore a tailored waistcoat with matching pink pinstripe trousers. I adore Holland Cooper and love their Atelier store in Cheltenham. It’s currently my favourite place to procure my tweed and tailored numbers. Their bespoke service allows me to create my own unique pieces. I love a hat or two and finished this outfit with a straw hat by one of my favourite country attire brands, Alan Paine.

I am sure you agree, but there is just something reassuring about a woman in a tailored suit exuding confidence and sophistication.

Unwrapped In A Tuscan Villa

Returning to the Tuscan villa, it was time to turn up the heat for my lingerie shots. One of my favourite lingerie houses is currently Honey Birdette, and I chose to wear this for all the lingerie shots taken at my photographer’s villa. I’ve found their lace collections complement my curves amazingly, and I love the jewel embellishments. It’s even more fun when they release a matching accessory. For the shots by the pool, I wore a black lace collection with matching gloves and a Chanel pearl necklace.

Something you may get to know about me in person… I love a pearl necklace.

I also love a sensual striptease, so it’s even more fun when Honey B releases a matching silk or lace robe to a collection. For this shoot, I complemented one of their figure-hugging basques with a matching red silk robe.

Let The Adventure Continue…

After two days of shooting and three nights staying in a beautiful villa close to Siena, it was time to say goodbye to my photographer and his make-up artist until next year’s shoot.

But the adventure was far from over!

From Siena, I headed north in my Fiat 500 for Chianti, with a packed itinerary of visiting historical sites, enjoying the local cuisine, and, of course, visiting a vineyard. I was eager to get reacquainted with my beautiful Tuscany, which stole my heart when I last visited.
